A Night at SET Steak & Sushi: Wagyu, Tuna Pizza & Mocktails Done Right

Had an awesome dinner at SET Steak & Sushi in Newport Beach! The vibe was great—modern, stylish, and perfect for a night out.

Food Highlights:

Wagyu Steak – Super tender and packed with flavor. Cooked just right!

Lamb Lollipops – Juicy and well-seasoned with a nice little char. Definitely a must-try and the Beef Carpaccio – Melt-in-your-mouth good, with just the right amount of chimichurri and parmesan.

Bluefin Tuna Pizza – This was interesting! Crispy wonton-like base with fresh tuna, ponzu, and truffle oil. Different but delicious. I also got a Sushi Roll – Fresh and well-made, though not the star of the meal compared to everything else.

Bang Bang Shrimp – Crispy, saucy, and full of flavor. Had the perfect balance of spice and crunch! While the Raspberry Rhapsody (Mocktail) – Raspberry, basil, lemon, and orgeat—super refreshing and not too sweet. Loved the mix of flavors!

Service was on point—friendly and attentive without being overbearing. Prices are definitely on the higher side, but for the quality and experience, it felt worth it. Would definitely come back, especially for the steak and that tuna pizza!
